Ive never really paid much attention to the ultimate skin prep in order of how its done to benefit the rest of the products applied to the skin, but I do practice and preach a good exfoliating step as the ultimate first step to make sure all the skin care used on top is absorbed the best it can.

When applying a face mask, the most common step missed is to prep the skin prior to applying the mask and then to sooth and seal the skin after. Founder of the luxury stem cell skincare brand, Enbacci , conducted an internal study where 7 / 10 customer did not exfoliate their skin properly and treat it after a weekly face mask.

Skincare brand Enbacci’s basic collection supports the skincare basic, which include a Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Scrub, a Detoxifying Clay Mask and a Pore Minimiser. These staples result from years of stem cell science and research in regards to naturally derived ingredients.

The scrub is to ensure the skin is cleansed and free from dead skin cells in order for the nutrients of the masks to be absorbed in the to the skin. The pore minimiser then will soothe and seal the skin to protect the exposed pores from pollution and also promotes skin healing.

vitamins A, E and F, including Oleic, Stearic, Palmitic and Linoleic fatty acids. The scrub resurfaces skin’s texture to rejuvenate and clarify and prepares the skin for a face mask, or even just the rest of your skin care routine. The smoother surface of the face will also allow your makeup to sit better on your face to give you a flawless finish. The Microdermabrasion Exfoliating scrub contains biodegradable micro beads made from naturally occurring minerals, that gently remove dead skin cells to reveal a brighter radiant complexion. Its also stimulate blood circulation whilst using it so you will have more oxygen flow resulting in nourished skin. The scrub feature a Shea Butter formula which is rich in

The Detoxifying Clay Mask is formulated with Kaolin and Bentonite Clay, which deeply detoxifies and cleanses the skin to purify from dirt, toxins and excess oils that can lead to breakouts and irritation. The mask also contains Shea Butter, Macadamia oil and Jojoba Oil to leave behind hydrating molecules of fatty acids. It is also rich in Vit E and B complex vitamins that offer anti-inflammatory and repairing benefits to the skin. There is also Aloe vera for calming and soothing effects. The mask also gently exfoliates the skin and stimulates blood circulation.

The last steps to the regime is the Pore Minimiser that has tea tree oil from leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree which is native to Queensland and New South Wales. The product is the last step in the regime to act as a barrier to protect the skin from moisture loss and environmental factors. It is also formulated with sorbitol that will prevent moisture loss and other ingredients that promote collagen production, skin elasticity and increases white cell activity that fights bacteria , germs and promotes skin healing. The Pore Minimiser also blurs any imperfections and can also be used as a primer before makeup as the silky smooth texture leaves the skin smooth and flawless.

This trio together have been amazing to use, with the exfoliator being my fave of the three. Its creamy with such fine beads that it doesn't feel rough or sharpe on the skin at all and as the beads are very concentrated in the wash, it gives the skin a really amazing polish. I only needed a pea sized amount too due to the high concentration. I thought I had used amazing exfoliating scrubs before, but this one has been the best one so far I think! It alone made my skin feel very smooth and it gave my skin a brightened finish.

The mask is also very conditioning and creamy. Unlike other clay based masks it doesn't completely dry so you won't get that pulling feel on the skin. After rinsing , it left my skin feeling fresh, clean and hydrated with a slight tingle on the skin. I love the amazing ingredients in the mask as they are usually the type of ingredients I like to have in my skin care routine.

Last but not lease the Pore Minimiser smells really refreshing of tea tree oil and is a light cream based product. It is lightweight so melts into the skin leaving no trace of it behind. It did leave a smooth finish on the skin and would be perfect for a light makeup application. But I mostly used the mask and pore minimiser in the evenings so wasn't able to test this with a full face.

All in all, I love the concept of the 3 steps to to maximise the skincare routine. I am a firm believer of exfoliation to clear the skin to create a canvas for the rest of my skincare products to penetrate into my skin and maximise their benefits.

Thank you Enbacci and Black Sixteen Agency for sending me these to try out. I learnt some more about the basic science of skincare and discovered new favourites.
