Bellabox | Global Glamour

It seems that many people have escaped the colder weather of Australia and booked their euro trips. My Insta feed has been filled with holiday makers enjoying the warmer weather of the UK and Europe making me miss home that bit more as well as giving me holiday envy!

Bellabox put together the “Global Glamour” box which is travel inspired and will help you stay gorgeous whether you’re on vacation or not! I got a whopping 7 items in my box this month so I was really excited about that and couldn’t wait to get started.

Manna Kadar Blossom Floral Compact

Everyone received the floral compact which is 3 in 1 with a highlighter, blush and bronze. You can also use the shades as eye shadow, especially the creamy nude and bronze toned powder. As the compact was small I did find it difficult to pick up each individual shade using a normal sized blush brush. It was easier to use just for eye shadow, However I used an elongated blush brush , picked up all the shades and applied the highlight, blush and bronze together and blended together. The sheen and colour payoff is really nice and I can’t wait to start using this in the summer as it will look amazing when it catches the sun. At the moment it is adding a dewy look to my makeup and is very pretty.

La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Acid Serum & Daily Moisturiser

This product is a duo and works with each other to hydrate, smooth and re plumping the skin with Hyaluronic Acid. This is a very popular ingredient used in a lot of skin care and can be used all year round to give you a youthful fresh appearance of the skin. This product is said to be able to hold over 1000 times in its weight in water and this is what keeps the skin looking plump and gives it a glow. The High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid creates a barrier on the skin to retain moisture and re plump fine lines on the skin. The Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid penetrates deeper into the skin to stimulate collagen to plump the skin up. The Serum it to be used at night to repair whilst you sleep.

I loved the texture of the serum, which spread all over the face even with a pea sized amount which I had to massage in for a while, until it sunk well into the skin. It has an oily feel but is a gel so feels very nourishing and you can feel that barrier of goodness which isn’t sticky. I also used this in the mornings If I felt I needed some more hydration and as it isn’t heavy it worked fine. The moisturiser is also gel based and a little lighter than the serum. My skin overall looked and felt more plump and I had very little dry patches. I preferred the serum over the moisturiser as it was more intense and I saw more of a difference with that. I usually use serums in the day time and oils in the night, so it would be a great addition to my night time routine.

Swisse Sweet Almond Cream Cleanser

From a trio of Swisse products, I was sent a cleanser for dry skin. I have combinational skin steering more to oily, but I wasn’t going to pass the chance of some creamy cleansing especially with the dehydration of my skin in the cold weather. The cleanser is enriched with sweet almond oil and plants extracts for deep cleansing and nourishment whilst also removing makeup. It also has Witch Hazel and Rice Water to minimise the appearance of pores.

I don’t use a cleanser to entirely remove my makeup , but the creaminess of the cleanser aided in removing any residues and eye makeup which didn’t lift off in my initial cleanse. It felt really moisturising and creamy on the skin and smelt lovely too. Having oily skin, I don’t want to strip away all oils so I felt that the cleanser cleansed well enough to leave my skin hydrated and clean. We were sent a similar product a few boxes ago and I felt this worked the same.

MOR Rosa Noir Eau de Parfum

I love a little sample of perfume that I can keep in my bag and spritz on me throughout the day, however this gorgeous smelling sample was not a spritz, which meant I couldn’t get enough of it onto my skin. I got the Rosa Noir which has notes of roses, carnations, lilies, freesia, petitgrain mixed with bases of sandalwood, tonka bean and musk. The florally yet deep scent is perfect for the Autumn and I really liked it. I’m glad I got this scent over the Marshmallow as that sounds like a very sweet smelling scent which I’m not that into. As the perfume wasn't in spritz bottle , I had to pour some onto my wrists to get a good amount onto my skin, which I gently pressed and also touched my neck with. The fragrance smells amazing however I wasn't really able to smell it on my skin throughout the day so I didnt find it lasting at all.

Nerium Eye-V Moisture Boost Hydrogel Patch

The under eye area has the thinnest skin, so is more likely to lose firmness quicker than the rest of the skin, so taking care of that area is really important hence the eye cream. Sometimes you just need that boost of care. The Nerium Eye Patches work in conjunction with the skins temperature to deliver their patented ingredients to the skin. The Hydrogel Patches is to give a shot of hydration to reduce puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles. The clear eye masks come in a tray soaked in the formula and are a thick, stiff gel pad to begin with. Once I applied it to the eye area, it felt very cooling and refreshing on the skin but I did at times feel like they were sliding of my skin as it wouldnt hold the curving shape of my face. However after keeping it in place for a while they stayed on well for the remaining 20 min. When I took them off, the eye masks had become loose as all the product had sunk into my skin. My eye area looked and felt refreshed, the skin felt firmer and I had no more puffiness ( I didnt get much sleep the night before!). I have used these masks from another brand before and they are amazing especially after very little sleep or before special occasions. I dont think I use this enough and should add them to my skin care routine.

Avène Cicalfate Repair Cream

A little bonus sachet from Avène which is a winter must-have. The repair cream is hypoallergenic and works on the skin to repair and soothe dry and damaged skin whether it’s on the face or body. I get really dry feet , elbow and knees so this was perfect to soothe the dryness, making it easier to exfoliate dead dry skin to reveal flake free skin. The cream is thick and creamy but not greasy and leaves a hydrating layer on the skin to keep it protected from harsh elements and the same time repairs. I also used it on my face on dry patches around my nose and mouth and it also worked great on a really bad dried out spot which was so flaky! It worked a treat.

Emily Crisps Fruit Crisps

Another bonus treat was a foodie delights. We were all sent 1 of 3 flavours from the healthy award winning brand Emily Crisps. I was send the Crunchy Fig Banana which are full of nutrients , vitamins, crunch and flavour. I love banana chips so these were lovely to try out. I didn’t know what to expect but they were like banana chips but slightly more dehydrated so it was easier to bite and felt more airy. They were really sweet ( there is no added sugar in the ingredients) and one pack was more than enough to kerb a sugar craving.

The packaging is also bright and colourful which will entice a consumer if they came across it. I love the look of the Crunch Red Apple packaging, which is always calling out to me at the shops! I can’t wait to try out the other crisps.

I really enjoyed this box and as much as it was aimed at the jet setters, they were also perfect for the current weather in Melbourne.

Also a quick update that starting from the 1st August 2018, the price of the Bellabox will be increasing to $19.95 Including P&P. The rise will help Bellabox get some amazing brands in the boxes and also to be able to cover the increase in P&P ( there has been no increase to accomadate this in the last few years)

Thanks for reading!
