I was really kindly sent these two products from the Andalou brand, which has recently come to Australia's Priceline and I have been enjoying them so much that I am so late to get this review up!

Andalou have a wide range of products for different skin concerns and these are just two from the Brightening range which is great for my skin type as I have combinational skin so this works amazingly to brighten as well as keeping my skin exfoliated to remove impurities, smoothen and give my skin radiance.

Andalou's signature innovation of Fruit Cell Science is part of every product which includes PhytoCellTec Fruit Stem Cells, Certified Organic Bio Active Berry Complex and Certified Organic Aloe Vera. Together these are a portfolio of potent bio actives that creates Andalou’s innovative skincare brand.

All products are also 99% Naturally derived, verified Gluten Free, Vegetarian , Cruelty free and Non GMO .

I have been using the duo together with the serum either in the morning/evening, but mostly in the morning and the face mask at least once a week . Together they have left my skin feeling amazing with a clearer complexion and a natural radiance.

Below is my review and some more information on each of the products.

Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask

This amazing mask is suitable for Normal/Combination Skin. It is made up of Fruit stem cells, vitamin C, and glycolic AHA blended with manuka honey and organic pumpkin, which rich in beta carotene. It will gently dissolve dull , dry surface cells, exfoliate and resurface the skin for even tone, smooth texture, and a luminous complexion.

The mask smells so good you can almost eat it. It reminds me of a pumpkin pie mix so its difficult to not want to lick your lips when you have applied it! I didn’t feel the need to apply it thick on to the skin as it still worked just as good so why waste?! The texture of the mask reminds me of luxurious baby food so it does have a soft lumpy layering as it isn’t silky smooth. As soon as its been applied, you feel the tingle on the skin, so you know that the acids are working and within a minute or two, it will disappear leaving the rest of the ingredients to nourish and soften the skin. It wasn’t the easiest mask to wash away with just water, so I had to use a face cloth to help drag off the product. The mask doesn’t dry up like clay masks, but more like a dry but tacky paste, hence the need for a cloth. I felt 10-15 min was enough to see and feel a difference to my skin with no sensitivity.

My skin felt refreshed & rejuvenated and near enough to the feeling of a professional mask! I could see the flush on my face which wasn’t a burn, but blood circulation, which is a great sign. My skin was smooth and flake free and this brought out a clearer complexion. I think this is my new fave face mask as its just perfect and I loved the results, so much that I have also got my other half using!

Turmeric + C Enlighten Serum

The serum is for Normal/Combination Skin again and is targeted for over exposed cells, to leave you with brighter and luminous skin. It is made up of Fruit stem cell complex, turmeric, vitamin C and skin-friendly magnesium ascorbyl phosphate which supports the dermal vitality and targets over-exposed surface cells for a lighter, tighter, brighter looking appearance.

I liked using the serum so much that I would use twice a day or more often just in the mornings. It has a lovely zesty fragrance and is of a light but potent consistency. I wouldn’t even need a whole pump on the face so would only pump half way to avoid wastage. Its very light in texture so I would take my time to massage it all in, after cleansing and before a moisturiser. As its not thick, you don’t feel like you are masking your face with heavy products leaving your skin feeling comfortable with no sticky or tacky residue.

It is even better to use straight after you have used the pumpkin mask, as the skin is prepared so the serum will sink in better and work its magic.

Don’t be alarmed by the Turmeric in the product as it won’t stain your skin, but its antiseptic & anti inflammatory benefits are known to reduce scars and promote healing of the skin. This is a key ingredient in the serum and is amazing for the skin.

I feel that my skin looks amazing with a luminous glow and radiance after over a month of use. My skin looks a lot clearer and even with a visible difference in my complexion. As I didn’t find it as hydrating as some other serums, I would use an alternative serum some nights or use a hydrating moisturiser to balance out my routine. This isn’t a main benefit of the serum either way so it isn’t a critique. I’m already half way through the bottle and will defo repurchase.

Key Ingredients in both products are: Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate), PhytoCellTec® Malus Domestica Apple and Solar Vitis Grape Fruit Stem Cells

The mask retails at $22.99 and the Serum at $29.99 and is available at Priceline. I would pay around this amount and more for trusted skin care products so I will be purchasing these when they finish and also look into what else the brand has to offer.

Have you tried these before or anything else from Andalou?
