In the recent years I have had a growing love for L’Oréal Paris mascaras as they give me exactly what I want and now most of my mascaras are from L’Oréal. I am always impressed by their formulas and their ability to add volume to give you luscious lashes, although they are all different in their own ways. The most recent addition to the collection is the Unlimited Mascara which is very different packaging wise to the others.
So the New Unlimited Mascara claims to lengthen and volumise the lashes, as well as having a dual positioning brush that can be used straight or in a bent position to reach the inner corner lashes. The formula also contains latex polymers to help stretch lashes and make them appear longer and thicker.
I’ve mentioned this mascara on my socials before and also shown a comparison of my lashes with and without the mascara on. It is a huge transformation which I love.
The brushes on the entire end of the wand are tiny stiff silicon bristles that are coated with the right amount of the latex polymer formula. The formula isn’t creamy or thick. Each small bristles can reach and coat the root of each lash and as you comb the wand through, you can get a generous amount of the product through the lashes. As the bristles are small and stiff, you can really get in there without getting mascara all over the eye. As you are also able to reach each root, the lashes get that lift and hold resulting in the length look. The mascara also gives you definition of the lashes along with volume. The formula of the product dries quite flexible with no dryness or flaking during the day, which was a bonus, as I tend to touch my eyes a lot throughout the day.
Comparing it to another L’Oréal Paris Mascara that I enjoy – Paradise Extatic - I can’t say I get as much volume with Unlimited, but defo much more length and definition in comparison. The texture of the Paradise Mascara is also a lot more mousse like and its because of that it gived that fluffier volume which you can build on.
The Unlimited for sure has very different packaging to the other mascaras by the brand and I don’t really know if the dip bottle style would be great to scrape product from the side when you have neary run out as its so wide and there isn’t a lot of room at the opening to bend in that far to the side.
The bendable wand is a main feature of the mascara but I haven’t really had the need to bend and apply to the inner corner areas as I can still do that with the wand straight or I find using the tip a lot easier because the brush isnt huge to begin with. I also feel that because of the bend, I have to hold the wand as close in as possible as it might bend with the pressure when applying, as its quite loose.
Overall I actually do love the mascara for the length and defenition it gives my eyes and looks amazing whether I've lined my eyes or not. It makes me look more awake thats for sure!
If you havnt tried this Mascara yet, I do recommened you do. Check out the L’Oréal stand at Priceline or Chemistwarehouse.
