I have some more empties this month and this month was the end of some products that I have been using for a long time and are regulars in my skincare / makeup routine.
Wella Dry Me Shampoo
I’ve mentioned this in some previous posts before and that’s because I loved it! I bought this from my hairdresser from their Wella collection and I don’t regret it all. I love using the dry shampoo to freshen up my locks and to add texture to clean hair. It’s been great for days I haven’t put the straighteners though my hair and it needs a little extra texture on the weird waves I have or when my curls/waves have flattened out the next day and my hair needs a boost and emphasis on the loose beach waves. It smells amazing and really fresh unlike some other branded dry shampoos that have are heavily fragranced with perfumes. The shampoo also doesn’t leave your hair sticky or weighed down.
Pixi Glow Tonic
I’ve been using the Glow tonic for a few years now since I decided to introduce acids to my skin care routine. After a lot of research on Caroline Hiron’s blog, I opted for this and I haven’t gone back! It’s really gentle on the skin and smells nice. I apply this with a cotton wool pad onto freshly cleansed skin to gently exfoliate my skin to reveal healthier skin. It’s so gentle that I do not get any irritation or stinging sensations and its fine to use every day both in the morning and the evening. My skin does feel much clearer and brighter when I have been using this and just brings me some more confidence in going foundation free! The product does contain AHA so using sunscreen daily is a must when using this, as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun.
Maybelline Eye Eraser
I’ve been using this for a while now and it’s a daily under eye concealer I like to use. Its light in texture, easily blends onto the skin and gives a lovely natural finish. It has a sponge applicator which makes it easy to apply but a little questioning on hygiene! My lid is always kept on to keep away the dirt and dust and I do not use it directly on skin that is spotty or inflamed. Hopefully this is keeping it the best it can. The formula itself is a neutral shade, which I find brightening and doesn’t make my skin look dull or yellow. I also like using this to give myself a subtle highlight on the bride of my nose, chin and forehead. All in all I have stocked up on spares so I never have to go without.
Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry
Again another every day product that I like to use and keep in my hand bag for top ups. Its so easy to apply and is really pigmented. This shade is a pink which isn't too pale and has a great pop. Its long lasting and also hydrating on the lips. Its a creamy formula which becomes matte after a while. I actually keep this in my bag and top up onto other shades of pink when I find that they are starting to fade throughout the day, so yes..it really is my go to!
Dr Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion
I bought this small 15ml sized tub before I went on holiday last year and used it through out and I loved it! Its oil free and hydrating. I felt that my skin looked so much firmer and plump resulting in my makeup looking much better. My husband also wanted a piece of the fun and he really enjoyed it too. Its one that I will buy again in the near future especially during winter.
The Abnormal Beauty Company, Hylamide
Ive been using the Hylamide for a few years now and its a must under moisturiser. I use it mostly in the mornings when I use a moisturiser that isn't as hydrating. This also gives my skin some more plumpness and firmer appearing skin. My makeup always look much smoother and dewy when I have use this serum and thats how I like my makeup. Although I have oily skin, I dont like my makeup to look matte so I try not to powder too heavily and have avoided using foundation on a daily basis to let my skin shine through. The serum healths keep the look of my skin more youthful and fresh. I haven't repurchased this serum, as I'm trying out a different hydrating serum from the range at the moment.
