RIMMEL LONDON 60 Second Nail Polish

January 16, 2018

I don't wear nail polish often but when I do I love wearing deep rich colours. Since moving to Melbourne I've been in my thongs (...NO not a thong, thong..but flipflops!) or sandles more than in shoes, so I want my feet to look cute so I always add a pop of colour to my toes to keep them looking in tip top condition.

From my very small range of polishes, I always tend to reach for these three Rimmel London shades to give me bold nails. My favourite thing about the Rimmel polishes is that that have a wide brush, allowing me to coat my nails in two strokes for an opaque finish,  without causing streaks. I hate it when you have barely just adding a layer and you decide to go over and sometimes it leaves streaks embossed and it doesn't look smooth anymore.  Im not perfect especially when its comes to painting my right hand, but the brush helps me achieve a clean finish. The brush also has a rounded tip and is as wide as my smallest nail so it gives a lovely shape around the cuticle area without over painting on to the skin.

The formula of the polish is also thick and glossy so you get a lovely strong colour even with one layer. It dries quickly, maybe not in 60 seconds but far quicker than other polishes and it lasts a really long time. My hand nails also chip the quickest but with the Rimmel polish they last that bit longer.

I use the Rimmel Ultrashine top coat ( which also has a wide brush) after two layers of the polish, to give my nails a nice gloss and strength to last at-least a week, possibly more. ( my nails grow too quickly for me to keep it on any longer!)

The three shades I love are:

340 Berries and Cream

320 Rapid Ruby

345 Black Cherries

There are 30 shades in this range, they are RRP $4.99 and are available at Chemist Warehouse and Priceline.

What are your favourite go to Nail Polishes?
