Empties: July

July 27, 2016

So I didn't think I would have any empties for a while,  but since May I've had some beauty products finish up really quickly.  These are products that I more or less have used everyday and they are definitely worth a mention.  If anything this bunch of empties are products I've used for years on a daily basis and  will mostly remain to be for a long time.

Seventeen Blush

I have been using the shade of Damson Wine from Seventeen for years and years! Its inexpensive and this is one of 7 shades that Seventeen do. Its long lasting and pigmented. Its a natural pink shade and is my everyday blush. Ive got through so many of these and at £2.99 per blush, whose to complain?! Already re purchased!

Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily UV Defense

I started to wear SPF on a daily basis  about 6 years ago. At first it was really difficult to find an SPF that was light enough to wear on my face without it being too sticky and having the UV metallic sheen. I then discovered Kiehl's SPF about 3 years ago and have only used that on my face, until recently. Its light in formula, has an SPF of 50 and is also moisturising. I was true to Kiehl's and I have nothing negative to say about the product. Just since I discovered Kiehl's SPF so many more have come on the market and are even lighter in texture. My daily skin care routine has lots of  product layering, so the lighter in texture the products are the better! I haven't repurchased this SPF as I've been trying out another two brands.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Balm Stick  with honey and sunflower
So I fell in love with the Nuxe Reve de Miel Balm ( pot version) but I didn't want to be carrying that our in my hand bag, so I purchase this stick version, thinking it was have the same texture at the pot. I was wrong! It is a much sheerer finish, none the less still moisterising but just not the same as the pot version! I wont be re-purchasing this as it feels like any other lip balm to me. It has been a part of my skin care routine, applying at the end of the day to keep my lips lush!

Loreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water

I am onto my second bottle of this already! I find that this micellar water works really well on removing my makeup, even waterproof products and at the same time it is refreshing on the skin and gentle on the eyes. Although it says no rinsing required on the bottle, I do cleanse my face afterwards and only use the micellar water as a pre-cleanse to loosen up my makeup. The only down side to the product is the packaging. The hole through which the product is poured is so large that each time it is put against a cotton wool pad, it ends up releasing too much product and the cotton pad is soaked! This is wasteful and the product then doesn't last very long.

Beauty Protector Protect and Oil

This is an exclusive Birchbox product which I purchased after receiving it as a sample in the earlier days. The oil smells amaaaazing and delicious. It has a sweet rich almond smell which actually lingers in the hair, which I love. The oil is runny and you only need a few pumps of it, as it spread around the hair really well. I find that my hair is much softer and smoother after using it.. The product is 118ml and has actually lasted me about 2 years! So its been well worth the price. I purchases two of these initially so Im already on my second bottle. This is the only oil I currently use and have not really though about changing that!
